About Us
Our Purpose: Stimulate the Soul through the form of Fashion. Our goal is to pay homage to the urban looks of the late 90's. We curate street style clothing that is catered towards the humanization Hip Hop/ R&B culture of the past, yet still design with relevance to the new fashion trends that we see today. While also designing with inspiration from Asian Mythology Art. We move with intentional purpose to level curiosity and interpretation through the usage of storytelling concepts.
Creator's Focus: I can only create based on my story and the values that I represent. Growing up, I was raised on old R&B and Hip Hop. Through R&B; I learned how to love, process loss, obtain life-long morals, situational awareness, energy protection, and self-respect. I matured into a young woman while taking a heavy influence from Lauryn Hill, Janet Jackson, Jill Scott, and Erykah Badu... just to name a few. On the other side of my creative background, I am a proud Asian woman with an admiration to the incredible style of Asian Mythology art. Thus, the dragon comes into play. The red dragon represents strength through undeniable confidence, which is a translatable feature that I want people to feel when wearing my clothes. The style I design with emulates the ideals of the red dragon while paying homage to the humanization of R&B/Hip Hop.
Origin Story: I originally created Redragon Clothing my junior year of high school in 2018. The clothing brand trend from the early 2000's crept back into the mainstream media and many young people were creating unisex streetwear brands again. Majority of them being men. I believed that women had a lot more to offer the streetwear industry than just modeling and styling. We deserved a spot in the ownership side of fashion that represented Hip Hop/R&B. Because of this, I executed the idea and created Redragon Clothing. Focusing on qualitative meaning and storytelling design rather than conspicuous branding, I learned how to create art for people to identify with. Unlike the previous clothing brand trends that disappear over time, we are here for the long run.
